SotD: For Love of a Doughnut or Country…

This is a bit of a drive by squee….a quickie, if you will….but who doesn’t like a good quickie, every now and again?

Today’s quickie is all about one of the things that makes everyone’s heart happy…especially when you can get fresh, warm, slightly sticky ones…Hey, I’m talking about doughnuts, what were YOU thinking?

So, with no ado what so ever, I present a seriously cheeky 6 minute animation clip that friend was kind enough to share with me, earlier today.

And now, Alton Brown‘s 2 minutes on doughnuts and why doughnuts get the loyal following they do…If he inspires you to celebrate the yeasty goodness that is the classic doughnut, you might even want to try your hand at his Yeast Doughnuts recipe, from the Food Network site. (Yes, I DO have it bookmarked, and it IS one of the sites I visit…a lot. But I digress…)

Because sometimes, the best squee is the one that just makes you laugh for no good reason whatsoever…and makes you want to share your laughter with friends.

Banana Pancakes – Tyler Florence’s Recipe featured

New Times, the Broward-Palm Beach (yes, that’s in Florida) Food Blog featured an entertaining and really yummy Banana Pancakes recipe/article, today. I love Tyler Florence’s recipes, in general, but this one does sound like it might take the (pan)cake.
